As both a singer and songwriter, Abe is legendary in the Piedmont Blues, Blues-Rock and American Roots sub-genres and has built a resume of music that suddenly found it’s way to the Treehouse Show when COVID hit in 2020…
when musicians like Abe got all of their live shows cancelled.
But that wasn’t the beginning of Abe’s love for treehouses…

Abe built his first treehouse when he was about 12 years old.
He says the coolest thing about that treehouse was that
it was built from “all FOUND objects he slapped together”.
He found some old boards behind the barn and a bag
of nails that his Dad left behind in the basement and
armed with lots of imagination, he went to work.
In later years, he built a treehouse at his home in the
Piedmont which you will see in the early episodes
and the home of the Season 1 Shows.
He shared this space with his kids.

Today he is building yet another treehouse…
And this time it’s in Asheville…
and with the help of his 6 year old buddy
who is overcoming the challenges of autism.
And he’s teaching him to play harmonica too!
Look for the video of their duo debut in the Season 2 Shows.
